NEIGHBOURHOOD
WATCH (NW)
Iver Police Office: We are open every Tuesday from 10 am – 12 noon
and 2 pm - 4 pm. The sessions on Tuesday have become very busy, dealing
with a variety of issues. We have become a drop-in for local residents
to enquire about local issues and we do our best to get the issues addressed
for them. For NW members we can offer the use of the photocopier and word
processor. We are also setting up new NW schemes and helping existing
schemes have any information they require. Volunteers required –
please telephone 01753 650815 if interested.

FLY
TIPPING
This is a serious problem in many areas. Responsibility for clearing up
the tipping depends on where it is. If it is on the public highway, contact
the County Council (0845 230 2882). Other public areas, including verges
and lay-byes, are the responsibility of the South Bucks District Council
(01895 837200). However, individual landowners must deal with tipping
on private land except where certain hazardous waste is involved, in which
case the District Council may be requested to deal with it.
Recently the Environment Agency took over the power to prosecute offenders
in court, so please contact them on 01494 431331 (fax 01494 434175) as
soon as you can after the incident. Any evidence such as time, exact place,
details of vehicles etc would be welcomed. Even bar codes on rubbish have
been used to track down culprits!
