Community Kindness Kits Appeal Important Update
In line with Government advice we are scaling back the opening hours at the Community Hub to accept donations to Monday from 12noon until 3pm and Friday 11am - 2pm effective as of tomorrow Wednesday the 8th of April.
We would request that you call Lorraine in advance on 01753 655331 to arrange drop offs with respect to social distancing measures.
Our friends at Costcutter Richings Park and the Co-ops at Iver and Iver Heath are accepting donations on behalf of the Community Kindness Outreach for vulnerable residents of The Ivers during opening hours.
Please do keep the donations coming they are going to mean so much to those that have so little in the coming weeks and months ahead.
We are currently running low on the following basic items and would be so grateful if you could contribute:
Tinned Soup Tinned vegetables (we have some stock of chick peas and tinned tomatoes) Tinned fruit Pasta Pasta Sauce Rice Tea Bags Soap Toothpaste
We can also accept fresh fruit and vegetables on Friday between 11am and 2pm for distribution same day.
We can accept bread which we can freeze to preserve shelf life and also yoghurt with a weeks shelf or more.
A special request:
We have a vulnerable resident who is a recovering stroke victim in need of consomme if any of you could assist with that please email Lorraine at commsC19@iverparishcouncil.gov.uk
Thank you so very much for your continued efforts to support the vulnerable, elderly and isolated in our community.
If you have concerns for the wellbeing of a neighbour or friend and believe they could benefit from a volunteer to assist with grocery shopping, prescription pick up, mail or dog walking or you wish to volunteer please call the dedicated hotline 0300 365 4039 to register.
