Community Kindness Kits .. Wave 6 .. Incredible Ivers

Friday 71 Kindness Kits left the Ivers Community Hub here on the High Street packed full of extra goodness and delivered direct to door to those of our most vulnerable neighbours, friends and families who are so very much in need during this worrying time.

Just look at how our Community Kindness Outreach project has grown over these last weeks .. from a few tubs to an incredible and unstoppable community outpouring of care, support and compassion for our most vulnerable friends and neighbours from you all.

Thank you so very much for your kindness and continued care it matters so very much and we are so genuinely humbled by you all and your donations which keep flooding the Hub Monday’s and Friday’s.

Thank you also to each of our Community Kindness Volunteers who look after our acutely vulnerable week after week.

Our heartfelt thanks to:

Valerie, Emma, Caroline, Cally Mae, Georgina, Angelina, Sally, Paul, Alison, Janet and Ally, Alistair and Julia, Bhabinder, Olivia, Graham, Carol, Ciaran, Caron, Graeme & Wendy J, Olivia, Louise and Natalie we could not do this without you and we can’t thank each of you enough for your kindness and continued care.

Special thanks also to our beyond kind and generous partners who give and keep giving products and produce that make such a difference:

To Iqbal and all at Langley Fruit & Veg Ltd for crates upon crates of broccoli, carrots, green beans, red onions, courgettes, leeks, potatoes, limes, oranges, bananas, grapes, apples, kiwis, how those lifted the spirits of all and how the scent of fresh produce filled the hub and kits that left the building. We also shared what we could not use with our friends at Slough Outreach who share with The Ivers Community Kindness Outreach too .. more news next week.

Heartfelt thanks also to:

Bel and HarviUbhi, Claire Wingrove for sweetness through cakes, Iver Heath residents, Homesense Taplow, the resident street care of Martindale, Chequers Orchard, Langley Park Road, and the management at JP Traders and staff who double matched all donations they received in store!

Special Requests:

We are so grateful for and welcome your continued donations of Gourmet Catfood mixed meats for the much loved feline fussy best friend of one of our extremely vulnerable elderly ladies, she calls a few times a week to thank you all again and her furry friend wails thanks in the background.. we still shed a few tears and you are making her feel so very comforted .. if you can find and are able to provide Gluten free products for another special lady who is so very deserving of support care and kindness and a few tins of dog food for her much loved dog, her constant companion, that would mean so very much to her.

We also have an isolated 92 year old diabetic a truly wonderful stoic man who loves worsearch magazines .. we have had a fantastic enormous donation from Wendy B but they have been in hot demand .. Wendy if you are reading this your donation of hundreds of wordsearch made such a huge difference to quality not only of kits but life .. thank you so much.❤️

Let’s keep this going .. they need us and we need you.

Thank you so very much for everything.

Our offices are open to accept donations Monday 12pm to 4pm and Friday 11am to 2pm please call 01753 655331 in advance so we can accept donations with respect to social distancing.

Our friends at the Co-op Iver & Iver Heath and Costcutter Richings Park also accept donations on our behalf.

If you have any questions or if you know of a neighbour or friend who would benefit from a little extra care during these unprecedented times please email Lorraine at CommsC19@iverparishcouncil.gov.uk or telephone 01753 655331 in confidence
