Coronavirus Community Appeal

Dear Residents,

It seems inevitable that The Ivers will eventually have confirmed cases of Coronavirus, our concern is for those in our community that are most vulnerable. The groups with the highest risk of serious illness from Covid-19 are the elderly, people with suppressed immunities and those with life limiting illnesses.

We would like to issue an appeal to residents to help us help those in our immediate community who are most in need of our support during this worrying time by contributing whatever you can to create Community Kindness Kits. These care kits are for members of our Ivers community only and will be available from our offices here on the High Street and through supporting local outlets and will be delivered as required to those who are much in need of support and care during this time. Any remaining donated items will be re-distributed to our friends at SHOC (homeless outreach) and D.A.S. (domestic abuse outreach).

We are appealing for donations of:
Toilet paper
Hand sanitiser
Tinned foods
Long-life milk
Breakfast bars
Antibacterial wipes

Please do include a small message of support to the recipient with any donations and these will be included in the Community Kindness Kits which will be distributed in eco-friendly paper bags to residents in need.

Items can be dropped to our offices 45B High Street, Iver SL0 9ND our offices are open Monday to Thursday from 9am - 4pm and on Friday 9am - 3.30pm please ask for Lorraine or Margaret. If you have any questions please email comms@iverparishcouncil.gov.uk or telephone 01753 655331
