Garden Green Waste Service Restarting Monday May 11th
The leader of Buckinghamshire Council has announced that they Garden 'Green Waste' collections are about to restart.
These will resume from the week starting Monday 11 May.
The collections were suspended due to staff shortages in light of sickness and self-isolation.
Please could residents be considerate and avoid over-filling bins or putting additional garden waste out as the collection crews will still be stretched to get round to everyone.
Your normal garden bin collection days will stay the same – you can check your day on our website - but please put bins out by 6.30am. https://crowd.in/BRXtBr
Garden waste subscribers will be offered contract extensions or reduced priced renewals to cover the missed weeks. We will also be reinstating bulky waste collection service across the county.
Buckinghamshire Council are also standing by ready to reopen five Household Recycling Centres, pending Government changing Guidance so that journeys to these facilities will be classified as ‘essential travel’. Otherwise, residents run the risk of being stopped by the police, fined and told to return home.
Once open, these sites will also be operating with strict ‘supermarket style’ rules to make sure social distancing is maintained.
