Iver Recreation Ground Mural Painting Soon To Commence!
We are extremely pleased to advise residents that the mural, which has degraded so badly at Iver Recreation Ground, is about to get an entirely new lease of life!
This project has been made possible by funding from the Heathrow Community Investment Programme. Working in partnership with environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy and local residents in the villages surrounding the airport, Heathrow is delivering a number of community projects to improve the appearance and quality of the local environment.
We are delighted to welcome back our friends from Positive Arts, together with the children of Iver Junior School they will revive this once-tired space with fresh, positive and uplifting artwork our community can be proud of.
Led by the children’s design work, the artists will develop their ideas into a mural concept that will be brought to life on the wall backing the workshop. Mural painting will begin on Monday November 25th and will be completed within the week, please note the adjacent footpath will be cordoned of while the artwork is underway.
