LOCAL COMMUNITY GROUPS JOIN WITH MPS TO ADDRESS THE TRAFFIC PROBLEMS IN LANGLEY,THE IVERS AND COLNBROOK
Representatives from Langley Neighbourhood Action Group, Langley Neighbourhood Forum, Richings Park Residents' Association, Iver Parish Council and Colnbrook Parish Council met with MPs Dominic Grieve and Fiona Mactaggert on Sat 4th Feb and set out the severe traffic problems facing the whole area which will be make worse by the infrastructure projects coming to the area including Heathrow Express Depot/HS2, Western Rail Access to Heathrow and M4 Smart motorway.
The MPs agreed to seek an urgent meeting with the Transport Secretary Chris Grayling to urge him to require the Dept of Transport to find a solution that addresses the needs of the whole area rather than the piecemeal approach currently being adopted. The maintenance of a north -south route in the area of Mansion Lane and Market Lane is crucial.
They also agreed to facilitate the closer co-ordinated working by Slough Borough Council and Buckinghamshire County Council to negotiate with the managers of the infrastructure projects to provide this necessary traffic relief.
