Light Up The Ivers Saturday 30th of November
Light Up The Ivers 2019!
This year’s Christmas Lights event is being held once again at The Clock Tower Square, Iver High Street between 4pm and 6pm on Saturday November 30th with charitable stalls running around the clock tower and underneath the walkway outside the shops.
Father Christmas will be in attendance of course and our little residents can visit him FREE in his Grotto located in Oakwood Estates, the first 100 children to visit between 4pm and 5pm will also receive a free gift! Any charitable donation to Fr Christmas’ chosen charity at the grotto during your visit would be most appreciated.
We are also delighted to welcome back the annual show stealers, the adorable miniature Shetland ponies with their fairy lit tails, the Iver Village Junior School Children’s Choir will be performing and the ladies and gentlemen of the Iver Singers will also entertain.
This year we also welcome the Free Christmas Toys & Community Toy Swap Pop Up, please bring along any outgrown toys that are clean and in good condition to donate or swap. All left over toy or book donations will be given to Social Services locally to share with children in need.
D.A.S. will be holding a Lucky Straw Draw with 100 Elemis Gift Sets with a RRP of £70 each up for grab! All proceeds from the Tombolas and the Lucky Straw Draw will go to selected charities who serve The Ivers.
We are pleased to say that once again the ever generous and community spirited retailers are very supportive of this event and will be taking part lighting their shop windows, opening their doors and offering festive refreshments to their community.
This year to add to the occasion you will find an inflatable Snow Globe complete with artificial snow, a perfect setting for seasonal snaps and the return of the Photo Booth sponsored by Eltze Estates where residents will be able to use various seasonal props to take selfies with friends and family with unlimited free photo strips, the booth can accommodate up to 12 people over 300 of you visited it last year so come on down!
The Children’s Choir are scheduled to perform at 4.15pm, and the ‘Switch On’ will be at 5.45pm where the Community Christmas Tree and the lights across all three village centres will be simultaneously lit.
We look forward to welcoming you all at the Clock Tower on November 30th.
