Mural At Iver Heath Recreation Ground

Mural At Iver Heath Recreation Ground

Dear Residents

The Ivers Parish Council are extremely pleased to advise residents that the mural, which has degraded so badly at the children’s playground at Iver Heath Recreation Ground, is about to get an entirely new lease of life!

This project has been made possible by funding from the Heathrow Community Investment Programme. Working in partnership with environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy and local residents in the villages surrounding the airport, Heathrow is delivering a number of community projects to improve the appearance and quality of the local environment.

The Chairman of The Ivers Parish Council said “I am delighted that Positive Arts and the Children of Iver Heath Junior School will revive this once-tired space with fresh, positive and uplifting artwork our community can be proud of “

Led by the children’s design work, the artists developed their ideas into a mural concept that will be brought to life on the wall backing the children’s playground, starting on Wednesday September 26. Please note the playground will be closed for the duration of the project. It is expected to be completed by Wednesday the 3rd of October.

Iver … you have not been forgotten further project updates to follow.
