Local Area Forum

Local Area Forums (LAFs), give you the chance to hear about what is happening on your doorstep. The

condition of roads, footways, parking, health, policing and schools are all topics which affect people's lives.

If you have something to say or want to know what is going on in your area, LAFs are a way to get your

voice heard.

The LAF can influence decisions about how money is spent locally, how to target services better for local people, what to prioritise in your area and has some funding available to help meet those priorities.

The LAF meeting is held in public and members of the public are welcome to attend. Forums are held in local venues like schools, community centres or church halls. The meetings are held on weekday evenings and run for about two hours.

The Local Area Forum (LAF) is a multi agency forum that is made up of elected members from Wexham Parish Council, Iver Parish Council, South Bucks District Council and Buckinghamshire County Council. The LAF is aimed to be a vehicle to drive a collaborative and localised way of working. The LAF meets three to four times a year, each meeting has a dedicated Public Questions slot where members of the public are invited to attend, if you would like to attend the LAF meetings, the times and venues of the meetings are listed at the link below:

The LAF manages a small budget to enable the delivery of local projects. The LAF has identified four headline priorities that it will focus on for the next two years. The areas the LAF has decided to focus on are:

- Children and Young people

- Communications and Libraries

- Speeding, transport and traffic

- Vulnerable and older people

Each of these priorities have working sub group who focus on this area of work.

If you have a project that you feel could help the LAF deliver on these priorities and would like to submit a bid, you are required to fill in the attached form.
