PARISH
COUNCIL |
| Parish
Council meetings are held on the first Monday of the month (except
public holidays). They alternate between the Coppins Room
of Iver Village Hall and Iver Heath Village Hall. They start
at 7.30pm. with an open session for members of the public who may
ask questions or comment on parish council matters. This is
usually for 30 minutes duration.
Amenities
Committee, Highways and Partnerships Committee, Policy, Finance
& General Purposes Committee meetings are held in the Parish
Council Offices on Wednesday evenings at 8 pm.
Planning
Committee meetings are held every three weeks on Thursdays in the
Parish Council Offices.
Members
of the public are welcome to observe any of the meetings of the
full Council or its Committees.

To
appoint at least two members to each of the Iver Heath Fields Liaison
Group, the Iver Heath Sports Association and the
Iver Rec Group.
NB The Chair and Vice Chair of the full council are automatically
members of all groups.
To
receive reports and take decisions on recommendations and requests
from the Iver Heath Fields Liaison Group, the Iver Heath Sports
Association and the Iver Rec Group.
To
consider policy matters relating to all of the above and to refer
to full council for approval. |
Allotments
There
are a number of plots available for rent at the allotments on Slough
Road, Iver Heath and those off the Recreation Ground in Iver. At
the moment all plots are taken at both sites and there is a waiting
list. If
you would like to be placed on the waiting list, contact the Parish
Clerk on 01753 655331. The rent per plot is £20 per year,
payable yearly in advance.

POLICY
FINANCE AND GENERAL PURPOSES COMMITTEE |
The
Committee has power to spend up to its allocated budget each year
for administration, personnel, management of office premises, donations
and subscriptions, training, insurances, professional services and
expenses relating to public inquiries.
To
make all decisions relating to Hardings Row land.
To
make recommendations to full Council regarding policy and strategy
matters including local development plans, community plans, parish
appraisal, parish design statement.
It
is responsible
for co-ordinating production of total budget for review by full
council and responsible for monitoring expenditure. Responsible
for health & safety issues on office premises. Responsible for
internal and external audit. |

HUMAN
RESOURCES SUB COMMITTEE |
This
sub committee of the POLICY FINANCE AND GENERAL PURPOSES COMMITTEE
deals with all aspects of employment policy, staff annual reviews
etc. It is responsible for:-
|
determining
the level of staffing resources to the Council together with matters
relating to terms and conditions of employment, and basic level
of salaries;
ensuring
the Council complies with all legislative requirements relating
to the employment of staff;
making
all decisions regarding human resources issues; recruitment and
appointment of staff, salaries, appraisals, pensions, disciplinary
and grievance procedures;
monitoring
the financial performance of the budget against estimates with regard
to the above items.

The
responsibilities of the Planning Committee are:-
To
make all decisions regarding planning applications, enforcement
notices and appeals, tree preservation orders, listed building consents,
buildings of special architectural interest, historic buildings
and the conservation area.
To
identify, comment upon, and refer to the relevant authorities any
matters considered to be in breach of planning permission.
To
consider and comment on all planning matters relating to the Parish
of Iver and advise the Parish Council as necessary and to approve
any planning application that the Parish Council is considering
making
To
set up working groups to draw up proofs of evidence for public inquiries
as necessary, and to receive their proofs and appoint representatives
to attend inquiries.
To
consider policy matters relating to planning issues to refer to
full council for approval. |

IVER
RECREATION GROUP SUB COMMITTEE |
(sub
committee of Amenities) |
To
work on the funding, building and design of a new pavilion building
at Iver Recreation Ground under the guidance of the Amenities Committee.
Meetings
are held monthly or when required in the parish council offices. |

IVER
HEATH FIELDS LIAISON GROUP (Advisory) |
The
Group's terms of reference are to administer the day to day management
of the fields and to work with the Friends of Iver Heath Fields
and Iver and District Countryside Association and the Clerk, to
achieve the management plan objectives.
To
make recommendations to the Amenities Committee.
To
review the Management Plan and Risk Assessments
To
make recommendations to the Amenities Committee.

IVER
HEATH SPORTS ASSOCIATION (Advisory) |
The
Group's terms of reference are to make recommendations to the Amenities
Committee regarding the management of the sports pavillion and grounds.
To work together with users for the smooth running of the sports
pavillion and grounds.
This
group meets four times a year to discuss issues which affect those
using the pavilions and recreation ground at Iver Heath. Groups
invited are IH Bowls Club, IH Tennis Club & IH Rovers football
club. Any others welcome.

IVER
REC GROUP (Advisory)
|
The
Group's terms of reference are to make recommendations to the Amenities
Committee regarding the management of the recreation grounds and
changing room buildings.
To
work together with the users of Iver Recreation Ground and allotment
holders for the smooth running of the grounds and buildings.
This
group meets four times a year to discuss issues which affect those
using Iver Recreation Ground and to attempt to resolve any problems.
Groups invited are Iver Scout Group, Delaford Colts Football Club,
Iver Allotment Holders, Iver and District Countryside association,
Iver Detached Youth Worker, the Police and any others involved with
Iver Rec.
