Planned work at Iver Recreation Ground commencing April 29th
We are pleased to advise work is about to commence to improve the car park at Iver Recreation Ground making it more accessible for all.
The improvements are intended to better facilitate access for disabled visitors with 12 new parking bays being constructed adjacent to the pavilion as well as providing a turning circle for minibuses, a better footway including upgrades to the lighting leading to entrance of the Jubilee Pavilion itself.
This work will be undertaken by approved contractors and is scheduled to commence on 29th April for around 3 weeks. The work is weather dependent, and the work may take longer if the weather is inclement.
The Jubilee Pavilion will be open and operating as usual and the Recreation Ground will be available for use throughout.
The area where the work is taking place will be fenced off to ensure the safety of users of the Recreation Ground and Pavilion. This means access to the Recreation Ground and Pavilion will be via the path to the rear of the Groundsman’s Workshop during the period of the build and around the children’s play area.
No vehicles will be able to enter the recreation ground during this period other than those of our contractor and our grounds team for mowing who will have access supervised by the contractor.
* please note this new parking area will only be open when the Jubilee Pavilion is in use.
