Thank You! Light Up The Ivers 2019

Dear Residents,

Thank you to our wonderful retailers and businesses for your generous support and sponsorship of our Christmas lights event on Saturday 30th of November and a huge and heartfelt thank you to our fantastic residents for your warm and generous support of the charities we welcomed to Light Up The Ivers 2019.

Over 200 children had selfies with Santa hosted and co-sponsored by our good friends at Oakwood Estates and once again the Selfie Booth with free photo strips, sponsored by the ever generous Eltze Estates this year, was enjoyed by over 300 of you!

Our many generous and big hearted community minded retailers threw open their doors to welcome all with festive refreshments and fayre, Premier Nurseries tiny patisserie baked Christmas Cookies for little friends and residents to decorate on the day, and of course the miniature Shetland ponies melted the hearts of all who attended.

The angelic Childrens Choir added a little Christmas magic to the event with their heart warming performance and the ladies and gentlemen of The Ivers Singers charmed all and encouraged a Christmas singalong with many of you joining in not to mention the tiny carollers who stole the show ... and the stage!

A huge thank you to Jas who dusted a little Christmas sparkle across 100's of our little residents freshly painted faces and also the team at Costa who hosted the Seniors and their Tombola, alongside the free festive facepainting corner and contributed prizes to our charity Tombola too!

Our special thanks to Sam at SMB for powering the event and to A&H for the fantastic contribution of a case of wine to our charity Tombola. We can't thank you all enough for making Light Up The Ivers 2019 such a success! Finally our thanks to Step Property for sponsoring the Community Christmas Tree once again and to Heathrow Community Funding for granting funding for the tree lights.

Our thanks to:

Thank you to the Grounds Team & Officers of The Ivers Parish Council who planned, organised, set up, served complimentary mulled wine and mince pies to all and cleared up the entire event, a round of applause to Ray, Ricky, Buster, Ian, Margaret, Carmel, Martin and Lorraine without whose hard work this event would not have been possible.

Thank you also to your Councillors for their efforts both behind the scenes leading up to the event and on the day, in particular Councillors Gibson and Woolley for running the TIPC Tombola and Chairman Wendy Matthews and Vice Chairman Ann Mayling for manning the mulled wine and mince pie line and to all those who donated prizes towards the Tombola.

Extra special thanks to Tina too for balloon distribution and all round Christmas cheer and to Interim Clerk Mike Kennedy for announcement and choral skills, and of course Santa for endless selfies and switching the Lights on with the help of our little residents.

Lastly our sincere thanks to our residents who joined us on Saturday, it was an absolute joy to see so many of you in attendance creating such a fantastic atmosphere, it was our absolute pleasure to welcome you all to Light Up The Ivers 2019.
